Welcome to the U, coach Kelley Gibson!



7/31/20: Miami head women’s basketball coach Katie Meir announced the hiring of assistant coach Kelley Gibson. A 15-year coaching veteran, Gibson coached at Syracuse, Rutgers, USC, Maine and UMBC. While coaching at Syracuse and Rutgers, Gibson also had responsibility for player development, recruiting, scouting. The list of successful players under Gibson tutelage is long and distinguished. Gibson played her college ball at Maryland, where she was an all-conference player from 1995-99. Gibson went on to a successful WNBA career with the Houston Comets, including the team’s 2000 WNBA Championship. Gibson ranks in the top 10 on Houston’s all-time games played.
