1/24/23: Miami needs safety help and it could be on the way. Former Ole Miss safety Tysheem Johnson will officially visit Miami on Tuesday and Wednesday.
At 5’-10”/190, Tysheem has two years of eligibility remaining. He was rated a four star prospect coming out of high school in 2021. He has started 19 games (1,182 snaps) for the Rebels over his first two years in college. As a freshman in 2021, Tysheem was named a Freshman All-American by 247Sports. In 2022, he earned a 72.0 coverage grade by PFF. The Philadelphia native can play both safety and star at Miami. He plays bigger than his size and brings excellent ball skills and physicality to the field.
Last day to register for classes at Miami is Wednesday, so his visit could be a photo finish for the Canes.
