Miami & BYU set home-home series
August 12, 2021

Miami announced on Thursday a non-conference home and-home series with BYU.

The Canes will host the Cougars at Hard Rock Stadium on September 19, 2026. BYU will host Miami in Provo, Utah on Sept. 2, 2028.

Miami and BYU have met two times in their history. The Canes defeated the Cougars 41-17 at the Orange Bowl in 1988, with the Cougars defeating the Canes 28-21 in 1990 at Provo, Utah.

“We are excited to add BYU to our future football schedule,” said Miami Director of Athletics Blake James. “We remain committed to scheduling top programs for our non-conference games and showcasing The U across the country.”

Miami has a non-conference game scheduled with Alabama on Sept. 4 in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga to open the 2021 season.

Other future non-conference games scheduled are Texas A&M (2002 & 2023), Florida (2024 & 2025), South Carolina (2026 & 2027) and Auburn (2029 & 2030).
