Down the Home Stretch…
April 26, 2022

The weekly national college rankings came out on Monday. Miami (31-9, 16-5 ACC) rose to #3 in the nation at D1Baseball and Baseball America after winning their sixth ACC series of the season against a tough Pitt Panthers squad  this past weekend.

As the season comes down the home stretch, #3 Miami leads the ACC Coastal Division by slim margin over #8 Virginia Tech and #11 Virginia. The Hokies and Cavaliers meet this weekend in a crucial ACC series. After a mid-week game against Stetson, Miami hits the road for a three-game series at Georgia Tech.

Meanwhile, the Atlantic Division has turned into a five-team race, with #18 Notre Dame the front runner at this point over #16 Louisville. Miami will will host Notre Dame to close the regular season. This series could determine the #1 seed in the ACC Tournament.

The ACC is one of the strongest conferences in the country with five schools ranked in the top 25. The Canes are positioned to make a run to the ACC Championship and a high berth in the NCAA Tournament. Who knows?  Could the Canes return to the College World Series in Omaha? Stay locked in as we race for the finish line.

GO Canes!
