Canes beat the Irish, 76-65

Miami ended the year on a winning note on Friday, defeating Notre Dame , 76-65, in South Bend.
Miami came out in the first half with little energy and ten days of rust. They trailed at halftime 34-33. Miami’s defense kept them in the game as they forced 11 turnovers resulting in 17 of 33 points in the first half.
In the second half, Isaiah Wong quickly sparked the Canes with two quick buckets for the lead in a 11-2 burst and a 44-36 Miami lead. A Nijel Pack three-pointer began another 9-0 run and Miami never looked back. Jordan Miller sank a three-pointer to take the lead to 14 points with six minutes left on the clock and that sealed the game.
Miami (13-1, 4-0 ACC) had four players in double figures led by PG Nigel Pack’s 21 points (5-8 threes) and scoring guard Isaiah Wong’s 15 points and three assists. Norchad Omier had another strong game with 18 points and seven rebounds. Jordan Miller chipped in 12 points, eight rebounds and two assists.
Miami stays on the road to face Georgia Tech next Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. ET.
