Miami head coach Mario Cristobal updated the press on Monday afternoon on the status of the Canes’ injuries.
RB Henry Parrish: Cristobal described Parrish’s status as “Good.” We assume he will practice and play this week.
TE Will Mallory: Cristobal was optimistic but cautious on Mallory’s availability for the Duke game, “Looks good, but is in protocol and it is up to the doctors.”
OC Jakai Clark: Cristobal described Clark’s status as “looks really good.” Again, we assume he will practice and play this week.
CB Tyrique Stevenson: Cristobal described Stevenson’s status as “looks really good.” Again, we assume he will practice and play this week.
WR Key'Shawn Smith: Cristobal described Smith’s status as “good.” Again, we assume he will practice and play this week.
WR Xavier Restrepo: Cristobal projected Restrepo will be “Out 2.5 weeks.”
RB Don Chaney Jr.: Cristobal projected Chaney will be “Out for four weeks”
OT Zion Nelson: Cristobal described Nelson’s status as “Taking it slow.” We assume he is doubtful for the game.
OG Justice Oluwaseun: Cristobal described Oluwaseun’s status as “Significant” injury. He is out for this week’s game.
WR Michael Redding III: Cristobal described Redding’s status as optimistic but cautious. Redding should be able to return this week.
Miami is fighting injuries and must get healthy as they continue their quest for the Coastal crown.
